12/17/2006 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Detroit and Cleveland better not count out the Chicago Bulls quite yet in the Central Division race.
It's still early in the season, but the three teams are rotating positions in the division much like a grade school class playing musical chairs. Chicago is currently third in the division, just one game off Detroit's lead.
The Bulls have won four in a row and 11 of their last 12 games, including Saturday's 106-104 overtime win against the Atlanta Hawks. Chicago trailed by 12 points in the fourth quarter and rallied from a six-point deficit in OT for the exciting victory down south.
Chicago will return home to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday and has a shot at redemption. The Lakers defeated the Bulls 82-72 on November 19 this season at the Staples Center. Tuesday's game will be a tough test for the Bulls, who were just fed a myriad of games against poor squads.
Center Ben Wallace has been a lion on the boards lately, pulling down a total of 97 rebounds over the past six games. He had a season-high 27 boards in a win over Milwaukee on Friday night.
After the Bulls host Kobe Bryant and the Lakers at the United Center, they will endure a wacky schedule. The Bulls will take on New York on the road before hosting Charlotte. Chicago will then visit Minnesota, and Miami comes to town afterwards. Then the Bulls travel to Toronto before returning home to battle Cleveland and Phoenix.
The Bulls are 10-2 at home and 4-8 away from Chicago this season.
